Prudence

Founder of the Band of Gypsies, Prudence has a knack for bringing people together. It is only logical that she be the original gypsy and the first one born onto the canvas.

The soundtrack of her soul is quite naturally Dear Prudence, by The Beatles. Tucked away behind her insecurities, she peeks out from time to time to play her part in the societal role. A peacemaker and gatherer of the people is what she strives to be. A chameleon, of sorts, blending into her surroundings in order to relate to others and experience a bit of empathy. Expending energy on what others feel, she may forget how to express what her boundaries are or what she may need from a lover or a friend.

Maybe you can relate to her? She uses reason to make decisions. She is financially cautious. She governs herself carefully and avoids risks in all situations, personal and business. She says yes when she wants to say no, and no when she wants to say yes....so as not to avoid confrontation with anyone. This type of avoidance can lead to voice feeling locked and pushed down.

Today, Prudence has come out to look around. She sees that the sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful, and so are you. She will have to return to her state of discernment soon. But for now, she will take a moment to smile and greet the brand-new day. She notices that the wind is low, the birds will sing, and she is part of everything.
