Meet Charity. Her intentions are true. Giving herself away again and again, and asking nothing in return. A yes girl. She will never turn you away. Never tell you she can't make it.  Never say she can't share, or doesn't have enough. She silently hopes for the love and acceptance that she has shown you, yet doesn't expect it. There have been times when she gave so much of herself away, that she could barely recognize who she saw in the mirror. She has developed an uncanny, natural ability to make people laugh. Over the years, this has proven a useful tool to deflect her brokenness. Now, at long last, she has learned that giving herself to others doesn't mean she has to be trampled on. She has learned that it’s ok to set boundaries, even if it means losing people who she thought loved her. She can be fully who she is, give in love, and also receive the love she so truly deserves. She can look in the mirror and say, I have no fear, I have only love, and freedom to be loved. Does this sound familiar to you? Are you Charity?
